My Take

In these two weeks of my internship, I’ve learnt a few things such as how to create a proper
professional profile in LinkedIn, This helped me start seeing myself in a more professional
light and gave me a better understanding of how to present my skills publicly.

I’ve also learned how to develop characters from scratch — from their appearance and
personality to how they fit within a story. This process helped me improve both my drawing
and storytelling abilities. In addition, I’ve been able to communicate more effectively with
other creatives. I’ve learned to give and receive feedback.

Another skill I’ve picked up is being more disciplined with daily report submissions, even
when it feels small — it’s shown me the importance of consistency and accountability. I’ve
also been able to identify and understand the roles of different staff members in the
organization, which has helped me see how everything connects behind the scenes.

What’s really inspired me most is seeing the weekly reports from the staff members. Their
progress, work quality, and passion push me to level up and be more intentional with my
own goals.

As for my comic project, The Forbidden Face, I’ve been learning how to structure a visual
story, design unique panel layouts, and build characters with depth and purpose. It’s
challenged me creatively but also helped me realize how much I enjoy visual storytelling —
especially when combining African culture with futuristic themes.

This internship has already taught me so much in just two weeks, and I’m excited to keep
growing and creating.
