Role: 2D ANIMATION INTERN
Date: Friday, June 20, 2025
Introduction
Coming into this internship, I had a background mostly in traditional art and music production. I’ve
always loved drawing characters and making beats in FL Studio, but I hadn’t fully stepped into the
world of animation. This internship has been a chance to explore how my creative skills can grow in
a new direction-especially in the world of 2D animation.
Blending Art and Animation
While I’ve done digital drawing here and there, using Clip Studio Paint is something I’m still getting
used to. It’s been interesting learning how traditional skills like sketching and timing apply to digital
animation. So far, I’ve supported tasks like line work and rough clean-ups, and I’m slowly getting
more comfortable working frame by frame.
Discovering Sound in Animation
I come from a music background-FL Studio has always been my go-to. But something new I’ve
noticed is how sound works differently in animation. It’s not just about music, but how sound effects
and timing match the visual flow. Even small details like footsteps or ambient sounds can change
the feel of a scene completely. It’s something I never really paid attention to before, and now I’m
genuinely curious to explore more of that side.
What I’m Working On
– Getting better with Clip Studio basics.
– Practicing smoother character drawings and motion flow.
– Paying more attention to how audio supports visuals in animation.
Final Thoughts
This internship is giving me a solid starting point. I’m learning how my art and sound background
can evolve into something more dynamic. I still have a lot to learn, but I’m enjoying the process and
looking forward to what’s ahead.
